Bastards (Svolochi) (2006) DVD – Russian WWII Action Drama – English Subtitles

In 1943, during the height of World War II, Colonel Vishnevsky is given a highly classified and brutal assignment: recruit a group of teenage juvenile prisoners and transform them into trained military saboteurs.
The boys, only 14 and 15 years old, are taken to a secret mountain camp where they undergo harsh combat training in preparation for a seemingly impossible mission against the German military group known as “Edelweiss.”
As the young recruits prepare to infiltrate enemy territory, they discover the horrifying truth—their mission was never intended to have survivors. Once their objective is complete, the boys themselves may have to be eliminated to protect the government's secret.
A dark Russian wartime action drama about survival, sacrifice, loyalty and betrayal.
