Come Back Charleston Blue
"Come Back, Charleston Blue" (1972) is a crime comedy film and a sequel to "Cotton Comes to Harlem" (1970). Directed by Mark Warren, the movie follows Harlem detectives Gravedigger Jones (Godfrey Cambridge) and Coffin Ed Johnson (Raymond St. Jacques) as they investigate the mysterious return of a notorious gangster.
The film begins with the reappearance of a long-dead gangster named Charleston Blue, whose supposed resurrection stirs fear and excitement in the community. As bodies start to pile up, Gravedigger and Coffin Ed are on the case to uncover the truth behind these events. Their investigation leads them through a series of comedic and thrilling encounters, exposing corruption, crime rings, and the hidden dynamics of Harlem.
