Dauntless: The Battle of Midway (DVD)

Set during the critical Battle of Midway in June 1942, the film follows Ensign Norman Vandivier (Jade Willey) and his radioman Lee Keaney (John Enick), crew members of a U.S. Navy SBD Dauntless dive bomber. After successfully attacking a Japanese carrier, their plane is damaged, forcing them to ditch into the Pacific Ocean. Stranded and awaiting rescue, they confront the perils of the open sea, including injuries, exposure, and dwindling hope.
