Deadlock (1970) – DVD

After a successful bank robbery, two gunmen separate with plans to reunite in an isolated ghost town. The younger outlaw, Kid, arrives carrying the stolen money, wounded and nearly exhausted.

He soon encounters Charles Dump, a former gold miner with his own plans for the cash, along with the mysterious inhabitants of the desolate settlement. When Kid's ruthless partner Sunshine finally arrives, greed, betrayal and suspicion ignite a violent struggle for possession of the money.

Set against a stark desert landscape, Roland Klick's cult Western combines crime, psychological tension and European exploitation cinema with an acclaimed soundtrack by Krautrock pioneers Can.
