Dragon Inn (DVD)

Set during the Ming Dynasty, Dragon Inn tells the story of political intrigue, betrayal, and survival. The film begins with the execution of Yu Qian, a loyal minister to the emperor, who is falsely accused of treason by the power-hungry eunuch Cao Shaoqin. To eliminate any remaining threats to his power, Cao orders the exile and execution of Yu Qian’s children.

The children, however, escape and seek refuge at the remote Dragon Inn, an isolated outpost on the border of the empire. The inn becomes the focal point of the story as various characters, each with their own motives, converge. Among them are Xiao Shaozi, a mysterious swordsman, and Zhu Ji, a female warrior, both of whom seek to protect the innocent while confronting the forces of evil.

As tensions rise, the inn becomes a battleground for a series of breathtaking sword fights and confrontations. The film is noted for its intricate choreography, suspenseful atmosphere, and the way it builds tension leading up to the final showdown between the heroes and the villainous forces led by Cao’s men.
