ABOUT THE MOVIE

Ghost Cat Anzu tells the whimsical story of Karin, a young girl who is left in the care of her grandfather, a Buddhist monk living in the Japanese countryside.

There, she encounters Anzu, an enormous, talking ghost cat with an unusually carefree personality.

Unlike an ordinary cat, Anzu rides a motorcycle, takes on odd jobs, and interacts with supernatural creatures.

As Karin adjusts to her unfamiliar surroundings, she and Anzu form an unlikely friendship and embark on a strange, funny, and emotionally meaningful adventure.

Blending everyday life with Japanese folklore and supernatural fantasy, Ghost Cat Anzu offers a visually imaginative animated story about friendship, family, and belonging.
