Inspired by Isabel Wilkerson's acclaimed nonfiction book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, Origin follows Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson as she investigates the historical and social forces behind systems of inequality.

As she confronts profound personal losses, Wilkerson travels across continents, exploring connections between racial hierarchy in America, the Holocaust, and the caste system in India.
