Spring Break

Spring Break is an unapologetically rowdy 1980s time capsule, packed with beach-town mischief, motel chaos, and the anything-goes spirit of Fort Lauderdale during college break.

Naive college students Adam Stern and Nelson Dalby, Jr. arrive ready to experience the rites of spring, only to wind up sharing a motel room with Stu and O. T., two seasoned New Yorkers who take them under their wings. As the boys stumble through the finer points of seduction, the group also bands together to help the owner of their sleazy hotel. Meanwhile, Nelson’s politically ambitious stepfather sends campaign workers to track him down and put an end to the fun.

With its bikini-clad beach crowds, barroom drinking games, wet T-shirt contests, belly-flop competitions, and comic coming-of-age energy, Spring Break plays like a sunburned postcard from a very specific era. This newly remastered DVD is a fun fit for fans of vintage party movies, 1980s cult cinema, and director Sean S. Cunningham’s genre work.
