T.A.G.: The Assassination Game [Blu-ray] - New

What begins as a campus game turns deadly in Nick Castle’s 1982 thriller T.A.G.: The Assassination Game. The rules are simple: players “murder” one another with rubber-tipped toy dart guns, and anyone hit is out. But when one sore loser decides the only acceptable victory is a real one, the playful contest becomes a tense hunt through student life.

Film-noir touches and a sharp, wry tone make this a distinctive twist on the campus movie. Castle, who later became widely known as Michael Myers in Halloween, makes his directorial debut here. Linda Hamilton appears in her first motion-picture role, alongside Robert Carradine and a cast that includes Perry Lang, Bruce Abbott, Kristine DeBell, Xander Berkeley, Michael Winslow, and Forest Whitaker.
