Tex Avery Screwball Classics Volume 2 [Blu-ray]

More mayhem. More impossible inventions. More Tex Avery. Tex Avery Screwball Classics Volume 2 brings another round of animated anarchy to Blu-ray with 21 uncut, restored and remastered short films from Avery’s MGM years.

Deadpan reactions meet outrageous visual punchlines in a collection that celebrates Avery’s anything-goes imagination. Revisit Droopy’s comic misadventures, discover the surreal delights of Magical Maestro and The Cat That Hated People, and take a wonderfully absurd look at mid-century dreams of tomorrow through cartoons filled with far-fetched gadgets and inventions.

Go beyond the punchline

The collection also includes the 51-minute documentary Tex Avery: King of Cartoons, offering animation enthusiasts another way to explore the filmmaker behind the gags. It is a welcome companion to the shorts for collectors who enjoy the creative history behind their favorite screen moments.
