As they are being beaten , the leader suggests that the king should judge if it is offensive to him or not. If they do not humor the king they will die. But the king has a very twisted sense of humor and loves the show. They get hired to perform exclusively for the king.The court officials are not happy about this at all. They get even more offended when the next show features them and their wrongs. The king has a bad temper and he kills people with little notice. People speculate that the king is sleeping with the young flower boy jester and is now influenced and controlled by him. But is he?CommentsBut even though I think that the king is crazy, I believe that he was driven crazy from what has happened to him and his mother. His mothers death was not something he could get over.The actors did an amazing job with this movie. It was supposedly loosely based off a real king.
