Tomie: Unlimited (2011) – DVD

Tsukiko is a high-school photography student who has always lived in the shadow of her beautiful and popular older sister, Tomie. After Tomie is suddenly killed in a horrific accident, Tsukiko is left traumatized and plagued by nightmares.

One year later, on what would have been Tomie’s 18th birthday, the impossible happens—Tomie returns home alive. But her miraculous return quickly turns into a nightmare as Tomie reveals a terrifying supernatural ability to regenerate and multiply. As increasingly bizarre and gruesome events unfold, Tsukiko finds herself trapped in a horrifying battle against a sister who simply refuses to stay dead.

Directed by Noboru Iguchi (The Machine Girl) and based on the legendary horror manga by Junji Ito, Tomie: Unlimited delivers surreal imagery, body horror, gore and the twisted atmosphere that made Tomie one of Japanese horror’s most recognizable characters.
