I wasnt expecting much from this one, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Disapointing, the animation is lacking, and the storyline is virtually non-existent. It vaguely follows the "adventures" of a 15ft invincible man called "Violence Jack", who after being released from a tomb after a series of apocalyptic distasters wreck tokyo, proceeds to go on what can really only be described as a mindless killing spree in a Mad Max-esque world.I can really only recomend the aptly named "Violence Jack" to fans of random gore and, well, violence.
Cut!!!
A violent, over the top, action delight that embodies the adult content that anime from the 90s wasn't afraid of showing. Certainly not for children or easily offended people, because this 3 episode OVA doesn't hold back in its adult content. Considering also that these episodes are censored, especially the Evil Town episode, there's still plenty of violence, nudity, and more to show you that 90's anime didn't mess around.
It's ok i expected better, the first episode is good. But when it get the episode two and three, it starts to get a little boring.
This uk manga release dvd of violence jack is cut and missing around 10 mins of violence/gore. Get the fully uncut region 1 u.s complete ova collection dvd instead. The uk dvd is unwatchable and worthless!
