Snuff-Movie (2005) DVD – Bernard Rose – Special Collector's Edition

Boris Arkadin is a once-famous horror filmmaker who became a recluse after his pregnant wife was brutally murdered decades earlier by a Manson Family-style group of killers.

Years later, Arkadin announces his return to filmmaking and invites a group of young actors to his secluded mansion to audition for a new horror movie. The performers are asked to recreate a series of murders that supposedly occurred in the same house—but as hidden cameras record their every move, the boundary between staged violence and reality begins to disappear.

From Bernard Rose, director of Candyman, Snuff-Movie is a dark, provocative horror film that plays with exploitation cinema, voyeurism and the idea of the movie-within-a-movie.
